What are Customs Duties and Import Taxes?

When goods are shipped from one customs territory to another (e.g., from the USA to another country), the customs authority of the destination country or region may levy charges on the imported goods according to local laws, commonly referred to as customs duties or import taxes. These fees are set by the government of the destination country. Whether they are payable and the amount due depend on that country's regulations, the type of goods, and their declared value. As the importer, you are responsible for understanding and paying any and all applicable duties, taxes, and import fees.

Customs & Import Taxes for International Orders

Eunfew is headquartered and ships from the United States. For orders shipped outside the USA:

  • Liability: You, as the recipient, are ultimately responsible for any customs duties, import taxes, Value Added Tax (VAT), Goods and Services Tax (GST), or other fees that may be imposed by your country.
  • Payment Process: These fees are NOT included in your order total or shipping charges. The shipping carrier or your local customs office will contact you upon the parcel's arrival in your country to arrange payment. Failure to pay these fees may result in delivery delays or the return of your parcel.
  • Estimation & Inquiry: Eunfew cannot estimate or control these charges, as they are determined solely by your local customs authorities. We recommend contacting your country's customs or tax authority for specific import regulations and rates before placing your order.

What if I Don't Pay the Required Customs Fees?

If you choose not to pay the duties or import taxes assessed by customs:

  1. Your parcel will not clear customs and may be held by the authorities.
  2. The carrier will typically return the parcel to our return address.
  3. We can only process a refund for your order once the returned parcel is confirmed as received at our warehouse.
  4. The original shipping cost and any return processing fees incurred will be non-refundable.

Sales Tax within the United States

For orders shipped within the United States, EUNFEW will calculate and collect sales tax at checkout as required by applicable state and local tax laws. We collect this tax on behalf of SpeedGlow Hobby LLC and remit it to the appropriate tax authorities. The amount paid at checkout is final, and no additional domestic US sales tax will be due upon delivery.
